The Grand Navy

The King-Emperor of the Hellenistic Empire has declared a proclaimation; each turn for the next 5 turns, 1,000,000 f of our annual profits are to go towards building a vast navy, 100 Quinquireme ships at least.

I know that, I have over 2.5 million profits per turn, I can afford upkeep when the navy is finished.

Quinquireme ships are obsolete. All major powers use Galleys now.

****.

Fine. 100 Galleys.

But quinquiremes aren't obselete just because they're an old design, they're better than Galleys. Both are made to ram ships, but a quinquireme is faster, heavier and can transport more troops.

What you could do is take it and classify it under a warship.

1 turn = 2 months...

I don't think you actually have to pay to build ships/recruit soldiers, just pay the upkeep.

There is no Q5 for ships...there is standard, reinforced (x2 upkeep), veteran (x3 upkeep) and reinforced vetern (x4 upkeep). Construction...6 months, for good measure (i.e. 3 days)?
